Working with Children Check

All referees in NSW are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC). Because referees receive payment for officiating, a paid WWCC is required — not the volunteer category.

The paid WWCC takes approximately 2–4 weeks to process. Apply well before your first match appointment — you cannot officiate until your check is cleared and lodged with BFRA.
